FAQs

Choosing the right decorator is about more than just colour; it’s about trust, preparation, and knowing what to expect. Below are answers to some of the most common questions I’m asked. If you’re considering having work carried out and would like to discuss your project in more detail, feel free to get in touch.

What areas do you cover?

Swansea & South Wales

Do you offer free quotes?

Yes. A quotation includes an in-person visit, time to assess the condition of the space, discuss colours and finishes, and a clear written estimate for the work.

How do you price for work?

Projects are priced as a whole, rather than per day. Pricing reflects the size of the space, the condition of the surfaces, the level of preparation required, and the finishes chosen.

What is your approach to prep?

Preparation is a major focus of my work and one of the main reasons clients recommend me. This includes filling and repairing surfaces, sealing problem areas, and ensuring a sound base before any paint is applied. A good finish depends entirely on what’s underneath, so prep is never rushed.

Do you work in occupied homes?

Yes, most of my work is carried out in lived-in homes. Extra care is taken to protect furniture and flooring. We aim to keep disruption to a minimum throughout the project.

How do you protect furniture and flooring?

Furniture is covered with polythene sheeting. Flooring is covered with plastic sheeting and traditional cotton dust sheets. This is all done before work begins, areas are kept tidy and everything is cleaned up at the end of the day.

How long will my project take?

Timescales vary depending on the size of the job, the condition of the surfaces, and the finishes involved. I’ll always give a realistic timeframe at quotation stage and keep you informed if anything changes once work is underway.

Are you insured?

Yes. I carry appropriate insurance for peace of mind while work is being carried out in your home.
